CV Link, the extensive new biking and walking system in Coachella Valley offers active transportation and outdoor enjoyment for all.
The Coachella Valley, known for its breathtaking natural beauty and vibrant entertainment scene, also now offers an extensive biking and walking system. Spanning across the valley, the CV Link network of trails and paths provides residents and visitors a unique opportunity to explore the region’s stunning landscapes and enjoy outdoor activities as it promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.
Led by the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG), CV Link is an award-winning project which aims to connect the valley’s nine cities through a comprehensive pathway network. Stretching over fifty miles, the CV Link incorporates pedestrian and bike-friendly routes, providing a safe and convenient means of transportation.
Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or an exhilarating bike ride, these trails offer breathtaking views and a serene connection with nature. And, the CV Link system caters to individuals of all ages and fitness levels, offering accessible, family-friendly paths. It allows access for pedestrians, runners, bicyclists, and low-speed electric vehicles (including golf carts) on a dual pathway that largely parallels Highway 111, the busiest corridor in the valley.
As bicycling and walking have become more popular modes of transportation and recreation, the CV Link strives to reduce potential accidents with motorists and provide a safer transport connection to public spaces and many Coachella Valley attractions. With plans for future expansion, this ambitious project fosters community connectivity, promotes alternative transportation, and encourages a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle for residents and visitors alike.
